With over twenty years experience as a journalist, Maria Bartiromo had a significant role in setting up the TV channel CNBC to become one of the leading companies in business and economic reportage. Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress in the film industry, TV and stage since the end of the 1970s. Talented as a thespian, she's been working in the world of professional acting over the last 27 years. In the year 1990, she made her stage debut with an Off Broadway production of The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley. She was then cast for her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. Her biggest break in her career came about in 1992, as she acted as a support character in Basic Instinct. The Firm was the film that made her the main woman for the very first and only time. The film was in competition with Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and many others. Through the 1990s she collaborated alongside some of the most renowned stars in the industry including Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. She played Dr. Alex Blake on the famous international thriller Criminal Minds.
